Saving vectorized images in .svg format
**Saving vectorized images (.svg format) **
There are some technical challenges to my limited understanding of Qt stuff. I found two options:
By default, the QImage class currently saves the image in a pixel-based way (https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qimage.html). Since this is pixel based, this might not be the way forward.
Qt SVG provides possibilities to generate 2D vectorized images, https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtsvg-index.html
I tried an example from here: https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qsvggenerator.html
This works well in combination with QPainter where you can change fonts, draw additional lines, etc.
But unfortunately, I haven't found a way to link the currentFrame generated in the QuickMonitor GUI to Qt SVG.
Once this link is established, I plan to add an option to save the image in .svg format, useful for publications.
