Make comparison of usage time fairer w.r.t. signatures
Surely SAP time events is a tremendous waste of time. However, you get the digital signatures for free after having authenticated.
In the old workflow with, e.g., Excel templates, once a month you had to export the Excel sheet to a PDF file and then go through the cumbersome process of manually inserting a digital signature into the PDF. At least in Adobe Reader,
- this feature is hard to find,
- requires you to enter your PIN at least once per Adobe Reader session, and
- forces you to give the signed file a new name.
And you had to email the resulting file to your secretary or head of department. Add some more seconds for those who did this in full compliance with our policies and thus also encrypted this email, as it contained personal data.
